Avon House is a care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to twenty six older people. The home is located close to the centre of Worthing.
Established in 1991, Avon House was one of the first specialist dementia care homes in the area. We provide a friendly, caring and homely atmosphere, encouraging our residents to lead an active, dignified and independent life, and we utilise Person-Centred Care to fulfil the care needs of the individual. Worthing is a coastal town in West Sussex that is a very popular retirement destination.
Avon House is situated in a quiet tree-lined road, within east reach of Worthing town centre and the seafront. Avon House provide a nutritious and varied diet, considering the individual likes, dislikes and special dietary requirements of all residents. The activity programme is developed by consulting with residents. Many services are offered within the home including visiting hairdressers and chiropodists

Dec 5 2018 Thank you very much for your compassion and honesty when we discussed my Mothers move to Worthing. I spoke to Lee-Anne after your conversation with her and it is clear that with regard to my Mothers needs, both of you have reservations about the appropriateness of Avon House. With both of you thinking you may not be able to provide the long term care she requires, I figured I needed to go back to the drawing board. I cant overstate how important our conversations were and I will recommend you to anyone I meet who is looking for a Home for a less frail relative with dementia!

The staff and management always show care and consideration to the residents and treat them with respect. I feel that mum is safe and well looked after and as happy as she can be. I am always made to feel welcome when I visit Avon House to see mum and am kept up to date with any health issues that may arise. Knowing mum is in such a caring, clean and happy environment gives me real peace of mind.

Such a homely environment. I am able to visit Mum freely, day or late at night. The manager is excellent and sorts out any concerns or issues quickly.
