Butterley House Residential Home

My mother was in the care of Butterley House for just over six months and during this time she was treated with the utmost respect and cared for to an outstanding level. Mum suffered with Alzheimer's Disease and often needed lots of reassurance and love, and the staff always made sure she felt safe and secure and spent lots of time with her to ensure that she was settled. During her last weeks, she was cared for in a way that could not have been bettered in a hospital or a nursing home, as the staff cleaned and changed her whilst she was bed bound, with care being taken so she did not develop bedsores, using a timetabled turning regime. I am eternally grateful to this wonderful home and would not hesitate in recommending it to others who find themselves in the sad situation of having to place a loved one in someone else's care.

My mother has been in this care home since April 2015. She is suffering from Alzheimer's and the treatment she has received whilst living there has been exceptional. The staff took time and patience to ensure she settled in well and have continued to care for her through her sad journey of end stage Alzheimer's. The care she is receiving at the moment, as she is near the end of her life, is as good, if not better, than any care she would have received in a hospital or nursing home. I will be eternally grateful to Butterley House for the genuine love and compassion that has been shown to my mum and the kindness given to the family whilst coping with this difficult situation. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone looking for a kind, safe place to let their loved one be cared for.
