Nov 21 2018 My elderly cousin received care following a cancer diagnosis in the old lodge where the care and environment was excellent. There are regular activities, the home is clean, well kept and comfortable and the food is excellent. I also currently have a relation in the company’s sister home ‘the new lodge’ and couldn’t be happier with the care this relation receives. I feel it is a true home from home that is comfortable, clean and caring. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are all professional and caring, the owner is a friendly chap who genuinely cares about the people in the establishment and encourages resident and family meetings for feedback, the manager is genuine, friendly and approachable as are her deputies and care workers. I cannot recommend either of Folcarns homes highly enough and have confidence that the care they give is genuinely excellent, and my family member is catered for as an individual with their needs.
