Kiwi House Care Home

Dad has been in kiwi house since it opened having transferred from another adept care home, dad receives excellent care from all the of the care staff there and is extremely well looked after. Dad is always involved in the activities in the home and is given access at all times to all the extra facilities within the home such as the pub, hairdressers and the cinema. The care staff are always very patient caring and warm towards dad and understand his high needs and attend to him with compassion. I am very happy with my dads care and find the home is always clean tidy with a welcoming atmosphere, the outside areas are always very well kept and are used by the residents on a daily basis. The menus are very varied and the food is always nutritious and appealing. the facilities within the home such as all the bedrooms being en-suite wet rooms and the state of the art hydro baths in the bathrooms are all specially adapted and useable by all the residents regardless of ability, the staff ensure everyone has the option to use everything available. the dementia floor where dad is placed has everything he needs for enrichment such as lighting, tactile activities and sensory equipment, there is always an activity happening and there are frequent musical events which are of a high standard. I recommend this home very highly.
