Apr 18 2013 Having had a person in residence at this home for thirteen months we found that the care he was receiving to be very lacking and of a very poor quality. The staff and management left something to be desired. Their attitude smelt worse than the home itself and the home itself looked shabby and smelt of urine amongst other things. For the amount of residents there was definitely not enough staff to cope and the staff that where on the floor would rather drink tea, use mobile phones and gossip about their private lives whilst room buzzers where being activated. And as for leaving valuables and money in the office we say its a no no. The staff consist of nvq2 (even though nvq has now been replaced) and their attitude to both residents and family stink. basic help of toileting and personal care is not there and staff often told the resident that he was dirty for messing in his nappy as they called it. It seems that even the laundry staff could not differentiate peoples clothes even with their names written in indelible ink as these wander as well. other residents clothes were often found in the wardrobe and his clothes were often missing. If anyone wants a good care home then this is not the one for your loved one. Look elsewhere!
