Jul 1 2016 Well words can't describe how awful my experience was when I took my Nan there for respite! I work in a care home myself as well as a full time Carer for my Nan who is deaf and also almost blind! Reassurance and compassion is always needed for the family.... And being on the other side you realise just how hard it is putting a relative into a care home! The room was dark and dingy and smelt of urine! If that wasn't bad enough, there was no welcome to the home no introductions to who they were. When I asked the Carer to please leave us for a minute they got very confrontational and asked me what have I done? What is your problem. I decided to take my Nan after 20mins thinking if that's how they treat me, how are they going to treat her when I've left. When leaving the same Carer started shouting at me again telling me I could not take my Nan! I was totally traumatised by the whole experience. I would not put my dog there!
