Aug 31 2013 We have been using this home for well over four years now and during this time it has got worse, and worse, and worse. We chose it after excellent temporary care, but the manager left as we returned permanently and it was one of the worst mistakes we have ever made. We are not in a position to move our resident as she feels it would kill her.Basically a string of temporary managers have resulted in demotivated staff and an atrocious home. It looks good, but that is all. The majority of the staff don't give a monkeys ... and that may be be because a lot of them are bank staff because of very high staff turnover and sickness levels. When asked to do anything, many of them sigh, they don't have time, but there is more than that - some are plain unpleasant, showing an uncaring and even more so - an unkind and bullying attitude to residents. The one manager that started taking action against such staff was not effective, they disappeared, no longer working for the group.The reason I have written now is I am looking for alternatives, despite grave reservations, as the relatively effective, kind deputy manager has just left - all the better carers do.Do not risk Lindum until it has improved drastically (September 2013 - but it has been going downhill for over 4 years).
