A very short but very intense time at a Mabbs Hall has led me to write this review.
An amazingly caring professional staff team. Absolutely everything was done, offered or thought of for myself, my family and my stepfather.
Sincere kindness and respect shone in every staff member I met. The staff were led by a very knowledgeable manager, guided by excellent nurses and clearly had a passion for residents. |

I requested a move into Mabbs Hall for my sister who was not getting good care at her warden controlled environment. I met with the manager who showed me round & introduced me to nursing & other staff. The briefing was clear & concise & I was afforded every opportunity to look at or ask questions. My sister moved in and was immediately delighted with the attention she received. Although my sister was not able to take part the recreational opportunities are numerous for the residents, during my several visits I noted no one was left calling for help or assistance for more than a few seconds and the staff were noticeably sympathetic & empathetic with the residents and there was lots of good natured interaction between them. I called during both night & day shifts & my impression remained the same. The staff were warm & helpful at all times and l, as a guest visitor was made to feel comfortable & “ at Home “ too. This clearly a grade “A” Care Home & I, looking through m6 sister’s eyes as well as my own, highly recommend this establishment. |

Was met by both members of management, given thorough briefing of the facilities. Questioned at length re sister’s health, medical history, likes, dislikes & other aspects that would make transition from home to care more acceptable & comfortable. Spoke to several members of staff who were both pleasant & helpful. It was noticeable that, unlike the previous anonymous reviewer, I found the whole care Home smelled clean & fresh. However, as that reviewer gave such a poor rating I will submit a further one in a while........ At the minute I am very impressed with the Home, the staff & the care I have seen carried out. |
