Sunnyside Nursing Home

Care very poor. Restrictions over visiting time and minimal choice for meals or care taken to ensure residents are eating or alternative meal options provided.Unable to provide basic care e.g ensuring people are washed taking them to the toilet etc. Extremely poor response to call bell could be over an hour at times. Medication changes could take almost a week to action. Not good enough!

Care of residents does not exist at this nursing home as the majority of the carers are unprofessional, rude and totally lack courtesy and manners - not a welcoming, friendly nursing home at all. Visitors of family members need to stagger the times they attend and then they will be able to see the true picture of how residents are treated with lack of dignity and respect and how the caters behave.

Would not recommend this supposedly care/nursing home to my worst enemy. Mum was a resident for a few years and I can honestly say the care was absolutely terrible. If the home thought visitors would not be calling on mum, she would be kept in her room 24/7 with minimal care/bathing etc., and on occasions would not be given a drink by the carers. The Management of the home was questionnable, not in it with a caring heart, in it for the money!
