Uncaring, uninterested, aggressive staff who treat the residents terribly - this is from personal experience. Only place your loved ones in here if you want to punish them or help send them on their way back to their maker. Don't bother complaining as they deny everything and then the level of treatment gets even worse. It is truly a terrible, bottom of the barrel place that you read about in the news. |

A relative of mine recently stayed here and reports that he never received a hot meal. All meals served arrived cold & when asked for them to be re-heated, the meal came back singed. Another day the evening meal was cold again & when asked if it could be heated up, he was met with folded arms & a stare of defiance. Eventually he was asked if the member of staff should "just chuck it away". At the cost of staying here per week, it would be thought that at least the meals could be served in a way that was edible. Perhaps there are insufficient staff, but those working here should be taught to respect the patients & improve their attitude & understanding towards them.
Members of staff have also been heard in the corridors speaking disparagingly about the patients. |

Whilst visiting a friend, who is a new resident in this home, I witnessed the staff talking about other residents in a scathing and disrespectful way. I also heard the staff shouting at a couple of the residents in an aggressive manner. There were not enough staff on duty and my friend was left to sit in urine-soaked clothing for over an hour before two members of staff came and helped her. |
