My 87 year old mother was admitted to Ascot House from hospital after suffering two fractures to her pelvis. From the first day her mood and mental well being improved substationally, she had been socially isolating for a number of years and tended to be negative in her outlook. This changed during her time at Ascot House, she was happy, mixed with other residents and had no complaints. She enjoyed her time at Ascot House and praised the staff, its facilities and the meals. It was nice to see her happy again. Her time at Ascot House got her back into taking her medication daily which had become irrattic before her accident. She also actively participated in the physiotherapy which aided her early discharge back home.Set visiting hours helped her to plan each day.The only minor issue was that visitors could not readily enter or exit the building requiring a member of staff to open the doors, we felt ghis took staff away from more important duties. Our and my mums experience of Ascot House is wholly positive, well done to all. |

Main number is never answered and there is no answer phone to leave message. When you call the other departments they dont want to know and refer you back to ring the main number which of course is never answered. This has been the state of play for the last 6 weeks. Exasperated. |

Family member admitted from Wythenshawe hospital to recover from a broken ankle. All the staff were very caring and professional. Well done to the NHS and staff for making a long stay comfortable and stress free. Enjoyable food too. |
