My mum was promised a wheelchair and five years later Heathgrove had not arranged this. I was never shown care plans and when it was run by BUPA it was good. My mum was admitted to hospital with a condition and was very badly dehydrated and lost her speech and swallowing. Her room smelt and her overall care was poor. They were decorating and gradually decanting and my mum was admitted to hospital again and Heathgrove would not take her back and I had to find another home where my mum died shortly after. We made a formal complaint with social workers Barnet and I would recommend The Arkley where the staff and the conditions were so good, it is run by BUPA as Heathgrove used to be.
