Whitehaven Rest Home is able to specialise in quality dementia care, with carers trained and experienced in helping adults facing the challenges of memory loss. Provision is tailored to personal circumstance and set up with love, care and understanding central to the home vision.
Open plan lounges and dining areas are excellent places to eat, meet and relax, while the home is also able to offer extensive recreational activities and reminiscence sessions amongst its flexible and interesting programme of activities
Whitehaven Rest Home were proud to be involved in establishing Intentional Rounding into care homes in 2012, Beverly and Louisa attended conferences in Basngstoke and County Antrim as speakers.
In September 2012, the first apprentice joined Whitehaven and is due to complete her diploma next month. Sarah was Runner Up in The Newcomer Of the Year award 2012. The home is committed to the Apprentice programme and are looking forward to the next apprentice joining us in July.
Whitehaven Rest home are proud of staff achievements, two members are completing their Level 5 diploma in leadership and another has started her level 3 in management.

Oct 9 2014 All of the residents at Whitehaven in Horndean receive exceptional care. Everything is thought about in great detail. The manager and staff are totally dedicated to caring for their vulnerable residents. I know that I made the right choice in moving my Mother to Whitehaven. I am in visiting frequently and am always pleased by what I see when I arrive. Amazing care home.
