Situated in the pleasant residential area of Heaton Moor in Stockport, Newlands Care Home is a purpose built 72 bedded care home offering Nursing, Residential and Respite care.
Meet the team
At HC-One our experienced Home Managers and members of staff ensure kindness is at the heart of everything we do.
We understand that meals are a very important part of our Residents’ day, our menus cover a variety of choices for each meal and a choice of snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are also available 24 hours a day.
Family and friends join Residents for meals which are served in one of the dining rooms or, if our Residents wish, they can choose to eat in the privacy of their own rooms.
Hobbies and interests
Our Activities Co-ordinator spends time with Residents to ensure popular pastimes are included within the weekly activities calendar, this includes:

• Arts and crafts
• Musical events
• Professional entertainers
• Music therapy
• Birthday celebrations
• Pet therapy
• Regular church service
• Seasonal events
Many of our Residents find the one-on-one time with our members of staff particularly enjoyable.
Outdoor areas
Our attractive garden is a great place for garden enthusiasts who enjoy helping to keep the outdoor area looking good.

Dec 23 2015 During the preceding eleven months that my mother has been a resident at Newlands I have visited her, apart from a few days, every day, during my time spent visiting my mother and all the other times that I have spent at Newlands I have been most impressed by the dedicated, empathetic and professional care given to my mother, I could identify individual members of staff for special praise but I feel that would be unfair to those not mentioned as all staff have given my mother excellent and consistent care. This excellent care mentioned above is not given as being just part of the job but as a dedicated state of mind of all staff to provide the best care possible, even under difficult and stressful, for the staff, circumstances. The knowledge that my mother is well looked after and cared for whilst I’m at work or at home is of great peace of mind, the fact of this care given to my mother should not be underestimated, as not only are all the staff at Newlands caring for my mother but also providing much comfort, reassurance and peace of mind to myself and family.
