Situated within a residential area of Laindon, on the outskirts of Basildon, Oaklands Care Home is a purpose built 55 bedded care home offering Residential and Respite care.

At HC-One our experienced Home Managers and members of staff ensure kindness is at the heart of everything we do.
We understand that meals are a very important part of our Residents’ day, our menus cover a variety of choices for each meal and a choice of snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are also available 24 hours a day.
Hobbies and interests
Our Activities Co-ordinator spends time with Residents to ensure popular pastimes are included within the weekly activities calendar, this includes:

• Quizzes
• Art and crafts
• Gentle exercise
• Animal therapy
• Visits from professional entertainers
Many of our Residents find the one-on-one time with our members of staff particularly enjoyable.
Outdoor areas
Popular with Residents, our mature lawned garden is a great place for garden enthusiasts, who enjoy helping to keep the raised flowerbeds and vegetable and herb garden looking good.

Jul 10 2015 Oaklands Care Home in Laindon, Basildon is always understaffed which affects the quality of care that residents receive, this is due to the management who will say they have hired enough staff members but this is an absolute lie, there are less than 40 people who work, about a quarter of them will be either on holiday or I'll which leaves the rest to struggle to look after residents. When staff complain they are told off about their "bad attitudes". How can someone look after my Father if they are burned out of energy due to having an enormous work load due to low staffing levels.
