Halliwell provides residential and nursing care for up to 64 people. Accommodation is across three floors. The bedrooms are on the first and second floor and there are lounges on these floors. The dining room is on the ground floor. There are three shaft lifts. The grounds are accessible with paths around them.

Oct 3 2022 I worked at Halliwell for just over a year and in which time I was bullied, harassed and sexually assaulted (which I had to report the police). The manager is absolutely useless and only cares about the home looking good on social media. The manager breached my confidentiality by reading a confidential letter to other staff and Head Office sided with the manager with no proper investigation. If you don’t fit into the clique at Halliwell you will be treated so badly that you are forced to leave. Person centred care is not available here as residents are treated like numbers due to the constant staff shortages. Unless residents complain to the manager directly, she will not listen to any complaints, meaning that less able residents are unheard. This place had a massive effect on my mental health and the fact the manager calls herself the ‘mental health champion’ is beyond a joke. Elizabeth Finn is a terrible company to work for and Halliwell is not a nice place to live.

Jul 5 2015 I help self funding families find care homes and I have found The Halliwell Nursing Home, on every occasion I have visited, to be professional and beautifully presented. It goes without saying that the care needs to be excellent, but It is the little things that often make a difference to residents and their families. Fresh flowers in the entrance hall and dining room, linen table cloths and good food, amongst many other things, sets the Halliwell apart. If you are looking for a high standard of nursing care with the Beacon Standard for end of life care, then I would highly recommend the Halliwell Nursing Home.
