Apr 21 2019 Strong smell of urine on arrival. The resident I was visiting said that they do not get acknowledged by staff but that is because they simply do not have the time. No name badges on some staff uniforms. Constant sound of an unanswered alarm bell. No washing up liquid or brush in communal kitchen so cups cannot be washed properly. Small rooms. No attractive outside space for residents to sit in. The food was very poor and no one seemed to know what the menu was. Even when put in front of the resident it was still not clear what on earth the food was! Lift was broken and would not be repaired until after Easter which meant that those with rooms upstairs were unable to get down to the day room.

Sep 7 2017 Made an afternoon visit, as soon as entered their was a strong smell of urine, also unheard that it was difficult to get staff to help when needed. Understand , when visitors left a gift for ta resident it wasn't always delivered. For the weekly cost, felt more could be done, concerned that as in many residential homes , they lack staff, to enable a comfortable stay with all needs met.
