My Dad had the privilege of living at Heathercliffe for 11 months. From the day Dad moved into Heathercliffe he was reassured and made to feel safe and respected and very soon became part of their family. He was treated with dignity and respect at all times whilst receiving fantastic care where consideration and attention was given to enable as smooth a transition from home to residential living as possible. Heathercliffe have an amazing team of staff who are totally dedicated to their residents and take a pride in the standards they provide. Heathercliffe strive to deliver a 'home from home" environment ensuring all residents live as full and active life as possible. Indoor and outdoor activities are abundant many times i went to visit Dad and they would say " hes gone for a walk with a member of staff to a local coffee shop or he's gone out to pick up flowers with a member of staff for a residents birthday" I would arrive to see Dad planting plants, making cakes, making easter bonnets, having a bbq, tea dances to name a few, there was always some activity occurring which was always lovely to see. However if on occasion Dad didn't want to join in then this would be respected and be left to enjoy quiet time in the conservatory with a cuppa and slice of home made cake (something relatives and residents always enjoyed, never offered anything that wasn't home made at Heathercliffe) If anyone is looking for residential care for their loved one please please go and see for yourself what a fantastic home it is, the staff are so lovely and are very aware of the difficult decisions involved when placing your family into a residential home and they are so very supportive with not only the prospective resident but all the whole family that is involved.
I will never forget the fantastic staff at Heathercliffe and will continue to keep in touch even though my Dad doesn't live with them now, Heathercliffe is a truly amazing place and i would recommend it 100% |
