This purpose-built residential and nursing home in Hertfordshire offers a range of care in a comfortable, homely environment. The home is within walking distance of the local shops and library, and the bustling town of Watford is only a short bus ride away.

    The care we offer

Brunswick Court provides care for elderly residents and for the frail elderly. We offer several types of stay depending on the level of support required – from long-term care for those who need daily nursing, to respite. We also offer convalescence and palliative care.

    Food

We provide a wide and varied menu at Brunswick Court. Our chef visits residents regularly and within a couple of days of them moving in to the home, to make their individual needs are catered for. The weekly menus offer plenty of options available including two-course meals, full English and continental breakfasts, and desserts. There are always cold alternatives and snacks available. We also make sure we do something special for birthdays and notable occasions, to ensure that mealtimes are enjoyable and eventful.

We serve biscuits with mid-morning tea or coffee, home-made cakes in the afternoon and drinks in the evening. Residents can enjoy sociable mealtimes in the dining rooms or, if they prefer, in the privacy of their own rooms.

    Activities

From board games, quizzes and coffee mornings to piano recitals and exercise classes, theres plenty to do at Brunswick Court. Relatives and friends are more than welcome to join in. Green-fingered residents can help out in the garden and we encourage regular outings to the nearby local park.

Each month theres a popular seasonally themed event, including a Burns Night supper, Mother&s Day celebrations and a summer fete among many more. Residents have plenty of opportunity to pursue their own hobbies and interests. The home has strong links with the local community and is often visited by a variety of local entertainers and theatre groups.

Lots going on at the home, ideally located close to town. Couldn't ask for anything more.

My father was in this home 9 days, I new after 2 days I needed to look elsewhere where, the staff are very nice and friendly, but the care was not good and higene was questionable, Beding very strained, dirty toilet from bed pan disposal, dad never went in is bathroom. My father was aways hungry, the meals weren't big enough, poor quality and sometimes cold.
