My mother has been at Footherley for over 2 years and in recent time has needed a lot of care. The staff have been very dedicated in looking after her, always taking time to treat her with dignity and care. There has a real consistency in staffing which enables us, as well as my mother, to build up positive relationships. Staff have always taken the time to explain changes in mums condition, anticipate her medical needs and get expert medical advice in readily when required. Everyone is friendly and warm from the reception desk to the activity coordinaters, management to hands on carers. The home is very clean, the food good and the gardens beautiful - so lovely when my mum was able to go out and enjoy them. It's very positive having the nuns visit and chat too . Yes, other homes may be more 'glamorous' but that's not the important thing that matters - we could not fault the care our mother is receiving. Thank you to all the staff. |

The home is run and managed by friendly, extremely helpful and caring people. The residents are cared for by attentive and patient staff and also the Nuns. I was recommended by several people that this home was the Best and, fortunately, I was lucky enough to get a place for my elderly mother. My mother was not only treated with dignity and respect but also made to feel part of a loving family. All of the staff, from the Manager downwards have been helpful and friendly. |

Footherley Hall is a very special place. When Mum was taken to hospital and it was clear she would need 24 hour care I approached Footherly Hall. From the moment I telephoned, and then visited the manager, the response and care was just so warm and friendly. Mum was fortunate enough to be allocated a room, and her experience during what proved to be the final months of her life simply couldn't have been bettered. The loving care; the food of restaurant standard; the daily entertainment; the cleanliness; the gardens; were all of the highest standard. And the understated by spiritual care was an comfort, support and strength to Mum and the whole family. We will forever be grateful to the sisters, management and staff for helping to make Mum's last days so happy and meaningful. PJS |
