Very professional and extremely helpful practice. After experiencing a couple of bad visits years ago at my previous dentists. This was a unexpected surprise to find such a great caring dentist. If I had a dentist like these years ago, I wouldn't have kept away from them for so many years. |

I have visited this dental practise on two different occasions with family members and have been very dissapointed on each visit. The 1st visit in April was after a referral from our own family dentist for my 6yr old daughter who required a referral to hospital for a tooth extraction. She was scared and I was told to remove myself from the end of the dentist chair so I could not reassure her by just being close by as I had to stand at the back.As a parent I was made to feel awful and accused of not brushing our girls teeth which is completely untrue.I made a follow up appointment with our own dentist after this to discuss and was advised she did not need a tooth removing due to decay it was because the enamel had not formed correctly in the gum and there was nothing I could of done as a parent. My 2nd visit was with my partner who made an emergency appointment due to an abscess. My partner has a major fear of the dentist and admittedly not visited one for 9 years.Upon arrival the reception staff are fantastic cannot fault those ladies at all. They were brilliant at getting him in that day. When we was called through and realised it was the same dentist that saw our daughter his fear kicked in more. I was informed that I was allowed to stay while they were discussing treatment but would have to leave if any treatment went ahead today. Not very reassuring for a scared patient especially when people are allowed to stay through treatment at my own dentist. The dentist inspected my partners mouth and started telling him that he would need teeth removing and would give him some antibiotics for a suspected infection ...... she then took ANOTHER look and at this point noticed and confirmed he did have an abscess and through her poking the spot was popped. It was then explained that he needed to take the tablets and has the option of returning within 2 weeks to have the tooth removed at no extra cost but which tooth was being removed was not even explained. We was then told that he would require someone to be with him on the day to drive etc and which point I was refereed to as his "Lady Friend" ....This dentist served its purpose if someone is in desperate pain and needed help but I would not recommend at all if your a nervous patient as they dont give you time or explain it just open wide and mirror poked around not very reassuring at all or does not even encouraging for a patient to go back for any extra treatment required. |

Having been man handled and treated abysmally by a previous dentist, I have avoided going near one for a 15 years. But due to a very painful cracked tooth and dental abscess could not avoid it any further. I can not fault this dentist. They were patient, thoughtful, gentle and explained everything to me. They took on board my extreme fear - I told them immediately I was terrified. The whole process of removing my tooth was painless and quick - they took more time making me comfortable. I can not fault them, or speak highly enough of this NHS dentist. 5 days of agony, 15 years of teeth problems and an absolute fear have all but disappeared and I only wish they could now be more full time dentist. Don't avoid it do it. |
