I recently attempted to call the surgery for my blood results, after trying 50 times I finally got through to an automated message which stated there was one person in front of me I was then on hold for some 40 minutes with the message still saying one person in front of me. I decided to attend the surgery and was met by a very rude receptionist who was abrupt to start with and then when I received my blood results they had been printed out and shoved into my hands before I could say I word the receptionist shut the door. On reading my results there was some concerning information on them which I have not been told and now I am going to have to try to get through and speak to a doctor if I am able to get pass the receptionist first. I have never been spoke to so rudely before. Hence I am looking to change my GP. The automated message states please me patient this works both ways. |

As an existing sufferer of Ulcerative Colitis my treatment stopped due to the COVID Pandemic. I couldn't get through to the clinic at the Lister Hospital by phone so I asked the surgery to help me. They firstly stated that it was down to me to sort out!! I reminded them that as my primary care practitioner they had a duty of care. To cut a long story short I asked them to write to the clinic to help sort my issue out. This went on for months stating they had contacted the clinic in writing and telephone but still I heard nothing I asked for proof (send me a copy of the letter that I had asked them to write on my behalf) as I though they were lying and guess what they hadn't sent anything. Eventually after many phone calls (with threats of me suing them for negligence) they did send a letter and I eventually spoke to the clinic. Since this Dr Duggan has sold the practice and the level of service is worse than before, avoid like the plague. Good luck to anyone that wants to book in for an appointment on the day the phone system is dire to say the least with you having to redial over and over again only then when getting through you are told all the slots are taken though you can't see a doctor or Nurse Practionner in real life as they only operate a closed door policy with triage being carried out by the receptionists. Why is it that I am expected to carry on with my work life but the surgery isn't? |

My Diabetis appointment with practice nurse Victoria Pearce was excellent . She was very thorough and informative and understud and listend to my issues. The consultancy boosted my confidence and wellbeing. Thank you again. Kathleen Harris 29/11/23 |
