Had to take my 3 year old daughter to the out of hours GP surgery today. She was very upset as she was poorly. The nurse we saw was absolutely fantastic. She asked what my daughter likes and then searched for it on YouTube so she could watch it. This calmed her down instantly and my daughter then let her look after her. Could not be happier with the service we received. The receptionist was also extremely helpful in writing down postcodes for the nearest pharmacy which would be open. I have been suffering with kidney problems for years with absolutely no help from my gp, giving me the same anti biotics which then failed to stip infections which has landed me in hospital. However i visited a lovely lady tonight (can’t remember her name) and she showed empathy and wanted to get to the bottom of it straight away. This lady is an absolute credit to the nhs. Thank you so much. Type one diabetic answer question air when call all usual questions told get call back of medical trained nurse hour later get a call asking me total different medical questions then first called had say incorrect they did apologise said must been receptionist mistake anyway i was told need appointment to be seen would get call with in hour with been diabetic this was 9.15 anyway 4.45mins 1 am in morning later get call answer kept getting cut off just total lack of respect waste of time and never really there in emergency considering type one diabetic having hypos because infection service is disgusting no happy rate 0 if i could Reply from Staffordshire Doctors Urgent Care Mon, 12 Aug 2019 08:34:52 +0100 Thank you for your comments.
