Saw a doctor last Friday. Blood at the surgery and x-rays at Ham Hosp this morning and I get a phone call at 4.30 pm saying there are "irregularities" in my x-rays and I need a face to face or telephone appt. First face to face available is Friday and I can't book a phone call for tomorrow until tomorrow. Telephoning is hard at the best of times and obviously costs money. If I manage to get through tomorrow first thing and book a call it won't come until an unspecified time in a two or three hour window tomorrow afternoon and if it comes to my mobile I cannot pre-identify the caller as the number is witheld as private. If either face to face or phone will do, do I even need to see a doctor? Obviously I am worried about whatever might be "irregular" in my x-rays so I would prefer to know. Please get doctors to make these kind of calls or give receptionists some kind of insight into what "irregular" means. I might have to wait the working week to find that I need x-rays again, there's nothing to worry about, I need to go into hospital or lord knows what...or at least make it possible for me to book a phone call for tomorrow, today | ||||||

There seems to be a change in reception staff and the current receptionist is amazing. I called up first thing yesterday to ask for an emergency appointment, but there were none available which is understandable, so was advised to call back the next day which I did. Once again when I called the next day there were no available appointments, but the lovely person I spoke to on the phone asked for my name and told me she would call me when a cancellation became available. Less than 30 minutes later I received a call from her with availability for an appointment that day- so happy.
All GPs and nurses are really caring, very sympathetic and always 100% professional. I completely trust them and always feel reassure and confident in my health after leaving. | ||||||

I am very proud to be a patient at this surgery for over 30 years. I have always found the reception staff, nurses most helpful in every way. My GP has always been very professional in his duties with a wonderful manner, thoughtful, approachable and a great listener when discussing any problems you may have. The surgery is always kept to an impeccable standard and is a very pleasant place to visit. | ||||||
