Went to see one of the doctors with my symptoms written down, he did not make eye contact with my once and didn't take my symptoms seriously. I felt as though he didn't believe what I was feeling and having spoken to me for 30 seconds he prescribed me some pills which I wanted to avoid taking. I still feel unwell and have the symptoms but don't want to visit this GP again. I tried to see one of the other doctors but he was very sexist towards me and I felt very uncomfortable being in his presence. Doctors are supposed to care and make people feel better and I did not feel this once. I have met 3 different doctors at this GP surgery, great reception staff and the nurses and they are all thorough, sensible and pragmatic. I have seen many doctors at different GP surgeries that are much worse but possibly only one (over 30 years) that is the same in service and none the same in dignity and respect!
As with all NHS GP practices, resources are stretched but they cope well. Excellent services! |
