I wouldn't recommend you to join this practice. It takes ages to get any service. 7+ days to book a GP visit, 3+days to get a blood test, 7+ days to book a GP visit to discuss the test results. I chances to see the same GP twice are close to nonexistent so be ready to explain your condition in details every time you see a GP. All of them will have different opinions on what to do but the summary will be something like "drink enough fluid, eat well, rest enough and see in you feel better in a couple of weeks". I risk having a well-developed kidney infection because of their receptionist who created a wrong appointment and now I have to wait for at least a week longer to discuss my test results and get any treatment. How is it even possible that after I had a blood test I was registered for another blood test instead of a GP appointment? To sum up, the attitude is risky for your health in this practice, join a different one if you can. |

I would highly recommend Whitechapel Health Centre to others, the GP has an excellent service provided by staff at the reception, who ensure that patient's needs are met with regards to booking appointment's, renewing prescriptions, answering any queries and dealing with problems I.e. cancellations and late appointment's. The telephone service is good, on the day appointments are provided most of the times, if called by 10am and staff at the reception are very friendly on call. The doctors and nurses at the GP are also very friendly, understanding and will listen to any problems that patients are having. Overall, this GP is of great standard, with good facilities, friendly staff and a place where patient's are treated with respect. |

They merged and I tried calling several times. Each time I called I was not able to move forward from the operator giving options and that being repeated. Eventually managed to choose an option and after waiting for so long spoke to the receptionist 3 times. Each time the receptionist staff kept saying I should stop speaking through a mike as they cannot hear me. I was not speaking through the a microphone. Very bad experience at the end had to give up. If this was urgent its impossible to get through so I fear elderly and frail patients will be neglected as they cannot access the GP. Also in the past after waiting an hour on the phone I was told there is no appointments available and I should call back the next morning. Very very disappointing. Reception staff are very unprofessional. When you go into the GP surgery they are always talking about their social life. Its sounds like a college canteen. |
