I have been with this surgery for about 3 weeks and I'm so happy with my choice, not like my old surgery Sorsby Health Centre. Lovely Doctors and Receptions. One reception is so bubbly and nice, she registered me on the spot and I was seen that day. 5 Star surgery. |

Been using the surgery since i was a little girl.
All staff are friendly and welcoming. I have no bad comments. Appointments are always available and if not they always make an alternative.
One particular receptionist is the most friendly and energetic receptionist ever met
Overall 10/10
Continue doing a great job guys.. |

I had visited the surgery recently, and was seen by a rude and unprofessional locum doctor, which you wouldn’t think to experience at your own GP practice you have been registered with for many years.
This locum doctor at the surgery, was very unhelpful and dismissed any concerns I had regarding to my poor health, by speaking over me whilst in the appointment and by giving me a quick diagnosis without doing the relevant checks/ tests.
Surely a clinician should listen to a patients concerns, symptoms and examine them before being so quick to diagnose? as every patient’s case is different.
Throughout the appointment the doctor was condescending I believe, and made me feel that I was incompetent of understanding anything that was being informed to me.
Then only to be told, your time is up, go book another appointment with another GP for anything else, in a patronising manner.
This sort of behaviour, only breeds distrust and upset between patients and clinical staff and creates an awful unwelcoming environment for patients to attend the surgery in the future, which can lead to patients being undiagnosed about their health conditions and suffer in silence.
Lack of empathy, compassion and skill to listen should not be acceptable for any staff member to be working in a GP practice.
Soon after my appointment, I asked to speak to The practice manager, who did not seem to be concerned when I informed about the treatment I received from the locum doctor.
Just a meaningless apology I received with no mention of it being investigated or looked into.
I strongly believe Concerns and complaints about the surgery or staff should be taken seriously, as reading previous reviews online, clearly there’s an ongoing problem at the surgery which needs to be dealt with efficiently.
Maybe replying to online comments to Inform people, of what action & steps have been taken to deal with their concerns and what improvements have been made at the practice would be beneficial for patients & the public to read.
The practice should a have patient and participation group, where patients can discuss theirs concerns and how the surgery can be improved, with the suggestions being actioned within reason.
With such low ratings for the surgery and several bad reviews about this practice, Care quality commissions should lnspect this surgery as the standards of professionalism & care at this practice from management, to Locum GP’s and receptionist’s seems to be non existent. |
