The receptionist was too busy talking too each when there was a long queue of patients waiting to be seen .Also a member of the reception team was moaning out loud about her break was a waste of time she never ate anything because of the rain .I think this is very unprofessional things to do infront of patients ? And also the Phones was constantly ringing with no one answering them . |

My review for excellent only covers my doctor. Dr Gupta is a brilliant Doctor. If she ever left the surgery I would leave to. The reception staff need improvement. Not all but some of them need training in social skills. I can’t understand why it is worse now than before covid. They do no more online appointments (which they encouraged before covid) to save on telephone calls. You cannot make an appointment in advance. Telephone appointments can take up to 5 weeks. I know it’s not just PHC but nearly all surgeries but nobody has explained WHY. The telephone system is worse now than it ever was. I despair at what it holds for the future. |

Everyone has to phone at 8am, before most of the receptionists arrive, stay on the phone until being disconnected after an hour, or else be told there are no more phone appointments with doctors that day and to phone back tomorrow or be referred to an alternative, inappropriate member of staff. It takes days to deal with urgent issues. I don't know how they got a good CQC rating. |
