In my experience, the staff (including the doctors) are pretty rude unless you tow the line with them. They don't like any form of criticism, no matter how polite & constructive, and are very reluctant to inform patients how they can make formal complaints.
It's at least a 3 week wait for an appointment. I appreciate this is to do with increased demand, but it's also very frustrating. I wonder how many of the GPs here actually use the NHS as patients - and how many have private healthcare. They don't seem to understand the plight of their average patient.
We've found dealing with this surgery frustrating and we don't feel our concerns are listened to. |

I would not recommend this surgery under any circumstances, except perhaps a nuclear war in which all the other surgeries have been obliterated.
We have constant problems regarding prescriptions not being sent to our pharmacist in time, and unbelievably one of the receptionists tried to blame us for it. Because the surgery doesn't send the prescriptions in time, my partner has to endure more pain & suffering than she otherwise should - and this happened EVERY week. This incompetence is staggering.
One of the doctors I saw did not follow through on what he said he would do, which caused me major problems. I had to book another appointment with him, weeks later, and remind him to do what he said he would.
Did he apologise for his mistake? No, of course not. Because doctors never admit responsibility for their mistakes. It's why they're so lovable.
Because of this, I changed surgery because I don't want my healthcare in the hands of a doctor who is either forgetful or incompetent, and doesn't want to take responsibility for not doing his job. I simply do not trust him.
Overall, I would avoid this particular surgery. There are better ones close-by, with better doctors. Also, do not come to this surgery for mental health concerns - it's a total waste of time. |

Doctors are excellent. Receptionists are usually especially if you talk to them in person. If you use the system correctly it usually works. You do get issues sometimes but it is worth remembering that they are human beings and can make mistakes. Learn to be a patient patient. |
