I have an ongoing problem which involves both medical and dental services. The help I received from the GP at the Wickham Lane surgery was efficient and also showed understanding of my feelings. There was no hesitation in referring me to a hospital consultant.
As well as the GPs, the reception staff should also be praised. They do an excellent job sometimes under extreme pressure.

I was not informed when registering as a new patient that I would need to register for online services in order to get repeat prescriptions as there was no other method available nor was I informed at the ‘new patient appointment’ which left me unable to get a repeat prescription once it had ran out. Reception staff are unhelpful and lack knowledge about online registration. When calling into surgery to check whether my online registration had been processed I was told to call the Wickham Lane surgery only to be informed by their receptionist that the person who deals with online registration is not in. I had an appointment with a nurse who was very rude and abrupt when carrying out screening which left me very upset. By far the worst service I have received from any NHS practice. I will be registering at a new a new GP after only 4 months here as soon as I find the time to do so. |
