I just had a major operation for ovarian cancer. The surgery received a letter informing them of the severity. They phoned me and stated 'They were there to support me. Unfortunately this is not the case. Now need to have 30 + staples removed. Elm House surgery have not only stonewalled myself and believe it or not, St. Thomas' Hospital. It's not the fault of the receptionist. The back room administrators who read the letter did not comprehend the instructions nor, take a copy. To comply with the hospital instruction removal dates. The staples have to be removed in sessions due to the length of the scar. It was suggested that the Urgent Care Center was an option. Bearing in mind that I have limited mobility, (I suffer from Multiple Sclerosis) there isn't a guarantee that a nurse qualified to remove the staples would be on duty. If you need a pill they're the go-to people. My own personal experience relating to not having a heart condition but require a heart operation is another story. I'll await the phone call to say there sorry. Well you have to make it sound that your compassionate! I'll keep this page updated. |

We moved to the area/ Practice earlier this year. I have had maybe 3 appointments for my elderly mother who has been poorly. Each Clinician we have seen has been great, personable, thorough. We never felt rushed, we was not kept waiting - great service! One particular doctor, very nice Gp very good with my mother. Our last visit was on Tuesday we saw the Practice Nurse who was great. spent a long time with us, very helpful, friendly.
I recommend this Practice. |
