in September i had to visit the doctor with concerns about a lump, he referred me to dermatology and was seen within 3 weeks, surgery was immediate and the after care with the nurses at Victoria Rd has been excellent. I found that everyone took this seriously and everything was perfect. I am now fully healed and a review has already been booked for the new year. |

I had to get an Occupational health form done to university. I first rang up my surgery and spoke to a receptionist who told me the fee would be £15 she also told me it could be possible they might not do it... I then went to victoria road surgery and gave my form in I was told it would take a couple of weeks. After nearly a month of waiting I get a text saying it is ready for collection. I go to collect it to find out that they have charged me £40! Reluctant to pay for this ridiculous fee I get my card out to find its cash only which I was also not told! I played the £40 got home to find the page where my doctor writes his notes to find he hasn't put much down! Also I realised I had forgotten to put asthma on my notes, so he should have picked it up when going through my medical history and to the final page! So what did my £40 actually pay for? I'm shocked, there was a lack of understanding from the receptionists to the actually form and prices! Furthermore, a lack of action from my doctor who hasn't filled it out properly! Disgusted is this how students should be treated? |
