After waiting on hold for 35 minutes I got through to a receptionist who was not listening to what I had to say - just grasped bits of the conversation and had already decided what needed to happen next. Even after trying to explain myself a number of times, I was made to feel like I was refusing the next steps that they had decided upon, which I knew from previous experience was not going to help. A pharmacist would not make a decision about my medication due to my medical history and associated complications. I was eventually put on the duty doctor call back list - will await a response.

After waiting 3 weeks plus for appt with GP for a review of my HRT. I was told by the doctor there was no record of my coil fitting! That it was my responsibility to find out when this was done? Even though I have no access to my medical records. She then went on to tell me that the oestrogen tablet I am taking could be leaving me at risk of blood clots, also that if… my coil was out of date, taking the oestrogen I have been prescribed also could be leaving me at risk of unopposed oestrogen and risk of endometrial cancer! She didn’t want to change anything though?? Instead told me to make an appt with women’s health which I did. I wrote an email expressing my concerns just after the appt to which I have never received a response! I gave up and waited another 6 weeks for a phone appt with women’s health which was meant to be today. I waited an hour past the booked time, finally ringing the surgery, whilst waiting on hold. My phone rang, whoever it was that rang literally hung up so quickly I had no time to even answer! It was like being in a game show! I literally had my phone in my hand and had no chance of answering that call. I was then told I now had to wait another 2 months for another appt. Even though I rang straight away the receptionist said I would not be phoned back. One in a million chance gone! I’m now left hanging with no chance of a resolution. My only option that I can see is to change my GP surgery as I have absolutely no faith in this GP surgery. The wait times are ridiculous and even if you manage to get a phone appt you have to be amazingly quick to have any chance of answering before they hang up! They have no care for their patients atall.

rubbish service, ring and hang on to talk to reception then get automated voice call simply telling you to call back at another time. have tried to book a flu jab on line that is also a no go. i am fed up with the general lack of service we are now provided with, l do not want to talk to someone on the phone l want to see a doctor face to face.
