I can only speak about the practice manager here. Dr Dim Watson. Arrogant, condescending, rude, aggressive, shady, deceitful are all words that can be associated with this creature. The man should not be in a public facing role. I have sat in on a consultation and have found his practices to be controlling, manipulative and bordering on criminal. Dim does not listen to his patients, he is not interested in what they have to say. Dim will actively hide treatments available and attempt to enforce his own feelings. This ridiculous little man is nothing more than a bully, albeit one that crumbles when stood up to. Needs investigating immediately. (PS, Dim, I look forward to bumping into you whilst out and about in beautiful Okehampton.) | ||||||

Contacted the surgery today as I am in agony with earache , which I have had for days, Asked to be contacted by the doctor or nurse to get some antibiotic ear drops, was told by a very uncaring, unhelpful person I would have to use the Internet!!!! What she didn't tell me is i would have to wait anything up to 2 days for a response!!!! What an absolute joke, What happened to the doctor calling you back and triage system? Was totally fobbed offabd have no help for my ear infection, thanks for absolutely nothing!!!!!. | ||||||

Appointments at Okehampton Medical Centre, with my designated doctor, used to be obtainable for the following day if I needed one. Now I can't get one in the same month with my doctor. I need my own doctor because of multiple problems and she knows all about them. I can get a phone appointment the same day and maybe an appointment with any doctor the following day. A few years ago I had huge confidence in Okehampton Medical Centre, now that Okehampton cottage hospital has closed this medical centre has grown too big with a few more doctors and many more patients and it has definitely gone down the slippery slope and become a bit impersonal with most things being accessed through a computer, ....or a half hour wait on the phone trying to get past the musak stage! But receptionists alway pleasant when I do get through. | ||||||
