My local surgery is Moore rd, Bourton-on-the-Water,. Due to a very busy surgery there, I was asked to go to Northleach Surgery. My trip there was to have my stitches removed after a recent total hip replacement. The staff at Norhtleach were very friendly, I was soon in the very capable hands of the nurse. She to was very friendly, I was at total ease in her company as she explained the procedure in removing the stitches from my wound. Top marks for hygiene as she washed her hands on more than one occasion, and a change of gloves when she had to vacate the room for a replacement dressing. Stitches carefully removed and a new dressing applied, I was soon on my way home. Thank you nurse. Top marks to Northleach Surgery. My visit there was a very pleasant experience. Friendly staff, nice location. Very clean environment. | ||||||

I needed to get some blood test results to take to see my consultant. When the blood test was done I was told that the results could be posted to me if I rang and requested this. When I did ring to request this I was told that this was not a good idea as they might get lost in the post (!!!). I would therefore need to come and collect them. I checked the website before setting out this evening and saw that the reception would be open until 18.30. Got there at 17.15 to find the practice shut, so another wasted 15 mile round trip - this has happened in the past. Please can the practice make sure that accurate information about opening times is shown on the website. Also, in this day and age surely it should be possible to get test results via email or through the EMIS system. | ||||||

Not for the first time, I have wasted the time, energy and cost of a fruitless 8 mile round trip to collect an important new prescription. The whole surgery was closed on a Thursday afternoon. There is no mention or forewarning of this on the website. And surely it would cost next to nothing to be proactive and inform those people who have e-mail when the surgery is closed for training? The surgery is normally excellent, but this is an unacceptable situation. It is surely easily remedied - I hope they take note. | ||||||
