After difficulty getting through the the surgery to make an appointment as no doctors were available I had a consultation with a Nurse Practitioner. He referred me to a consultant, he said it would be fast tracked and I would be seen within two weeks. That consultation was over a week ago I have heard nothing. |

When I registered with this practice, we had 7 partners and 2 salaried GPs. now we are down to 2 / 3 salaried GPs, and an ever changing number of Locums. I do not believe that these Locums will ever earn the respect of the patients at this practice, as the 7 partners have, who mostly have worked here for 10 or 20 years, because the locums will never be here long enough to earn it I now feel that I have no one who has an overview of my health, yes, I may have one nurse for this and one nurse for something else, but no one I feel I can turn to. You have to give details of your condition to non-medically qualified receptionist who then make clinical decisions about your medical needs. If I could change my practice I would, but being in a rural area this is out of the question. I feel my health, especially my mental health will deteriorate from now on.
