I have recently had two extremes of service from GP's. I have always been dealt with by a female GP who is friendly and understanding followed by a male locum two months ago who was the nicest doctor I've ever seen. He was really empathetic and understanding. It's such a shame he isn't on the permanent staff. However I have also today seen a different female doctor (due to difficilties with appointments) who is relatively new to the practice with the worst attitude and manner I have ever known. I was made to feel very uncomfortable and unsettled after the consultation. From the moment the consultation began, the emphasis was on negative pre-judgements and assumptions about myself and my situation and was more or less told "everything was in my mind". I certainly shall not be seeing her again and will go out of my way to avoid her as once was quite enough. She has actually made me question whether I should change surgeries. Reply from Demontfort Medical Centre Tue, 03 Sep 2019 14:36:16 +0100 I am sorry that you are not happy with the locum doctor that you have saw. It would be helpful if I could discuss this issue with you further. If you are happy to do this can you please email christine.colls@nhs.net or call the surgery on 01386 443333. |
