My Daughter and her mother joined this medical practice. My Daughter has complex medication requirements and despite her Mum relaying her medication requirements and doing all the right things we were subjected to the following. Her medication was sent to a chemist 15 miles away. Her Mother's was sent to a different chemist also around 15 miles away. She was told this could not possibly be reversed and she would have to go and pick it up herself. The prescription was incomplete. Refused one medication as they have never heard of it. Yes common. Refuse same because previous practice had never prescribed it. Wrong. Refused because previous practice had not authorised it. Wrong Refused because they had not received an email confirmation. Wrong Refused same after 2 confirmation emails and verbal confirmation on the telephone in front of receptionist. This grew and became simple obstructive behaviour over the best part of two weeks to obtain what her old practice managed in two days to achieve. No wonder the receptionists are stressed when something done right in this case would have saved so much of their time and the unnecessary stress for her Mother and distress for my daughter. Finally contact was obtained with a Doctor who was very nice and said almost all the right things, however. He did also say that this has never happened before, which I find very unlikely given what a total btch the older main receptionist was. It smacked very much of prejudice by her as she was making it clear that she was going to obstruct my daughters mum no matter what she did to get her last medication. The medication is an anti side effect medicine which has my daughter suffering if not given regularly and is quite important for her well being. I do personally think she was trying to get rid of them as patients as they did not fit her twin set and pearls aesthetic. |

I was misdiagnosed & mistreated for many years by the Shrewsbury Medical Profession. Doctors here were the first. Though unintended, they caused severe harm & led me to be seriously disabled. I was completely failed by Belvidere Medical Practice. |
