I had to call the practice because after ordering my prescription on patient access 48 hours before I picked it up all of my medication was not there. I was told that it was because I had ordered all my medication at once ! The receptionist said that she had requested them again so pick them up in 48 hours. I said that I wanted them today as I had run out of one of them but she said that it was 48 hours or I would have to ring 111 for an emergency prescription. Why should I have to do this when I've ordered my medication in good time. When I asked to speak to a manager she said she would pass on my number and she would ring in 72 hours. I said I would ring and choose the option to speak to a manager if I can't speak now. She then laughed when I said this to which I said that it was not funny. I found the receptionist very unhelpful and rude as while I was trying to say something she just kept on talking over me. I found her very unprofessional to laugh when I was very obviously upset by her treatment. I had to ring my pharmacy who straight away told me to pick up some tablets to last me 4 days and they would sort out my prescription. Really I should not have to do this. |

I am new to the practice and although I am quite impressed with the surgery and it's facilities, unfortunately this is spoilt by the rude attitude myself and my husband have experienced by one of the reception staff. The receptionist just glared at me when I stood at the reception not even asking me how she can help or even smiling. When I explained I wanted to cancel an appointment she just said 'date of birth - surname' No please or any kind of pleasantries. I felt quite put out how rude she was and it has prompted me to write this review. When I spoke to my husband about it he said he had exactly the same experience and thought she was very rude and miserable as well. Sorry Glebedale you need to improve your customer service. |
