Have always had positive experiences with this practice.
Almost always able to get an appointment for when I need, even on short notice. There are sometimes delays as with any practice but the availability and flexibility of appointments make up for this massively.
GPs and the practice nurse have always been kind, respectful, and supportive, and will take the time needed to listen to you.
Receptionists are usually very helpful, particularly one who goes above and beyond to help. |

Many GP's and reception staff lack concern and empathy for the service users. Reception staff are unorganised Always behind with appointments. Long waiting times. Reply from Priory Gate Practice Wed, 31 Oct 2018 09:42:40 Z Dear Patient I am sorry to read that you are unhappy with the service you are getting from Priory Gate currently and acknowledge there is currently a delay for routine appointments however we always have two alternatives: Emergency triage where the on-call doctor can discuss your condition over the telephone with you and agree the most appropriate method of treatment including a face to face appointment, an alternative to this is an extended hours evening appointment or weekend appointment in one of 4 locations in the City. This service is provided by GP's working on our behalf and these appointments are bookable through the reception team for up to 5 days ahead. Phoned at 11. Receptionist was very helpful and I got an appointment at 12. The drs I saw were very helpful, kind and compassionate. We offer a number of 'on-day' appointments and when they have been taken we always have a doctor available to deal with emergency patient requests. If following the telephone discussion the doctor feels you need to be seen you will be offered an emergency appointment.
