I attended Balliol Rd surgery to see the GP this morning. She was really helpful and had obviously read my notes before I went in. It was a pleasant experience and the reception staff were friendly and helpful too. Thank you. | ||||||

Used to have online services which were very useful, made it easy to book an appointment and renew prescriptions, etc but the services stopped working quite a while back. I contacted the company providing the services and they told me the surgery had cancelled the services. Now have to phone to get an appointment, since this can no longer be done online. Mostly the staff are very pleasant and helpful but sometimes get a less pleasant and sarcastic member of staff. Makes me much less likely to phone for an appointment. Prescriptions are renewed by phoning the POD ( Prescriptions Online Direct ) service which can take quite a while when they're busy. Doctors are very good though. | ||||||

i called the surgery to try & book an appointment for my 9 year old. The phone lines were constantly ringing out, or would say the surgery was closed which they weren't. After finally getting through I spoke to the receptionist who said there were no appointments, I asked for one some where else to be told there system was down. So basically nothing could be done. I asked the name of the person who I was talking to, which she replied someone else's name ( I know the person who's name he gave as I've been a patient at this surgery for years. I asked your name to which she put the phone down. This is not the first time this receptionist has lied. I don't think it's very acceptable or professional to do this. Also the way the surgery is managed is not a good system and needs looking at and changing. | ||||||
