I saw the gp with a suspected blood clot. Said i should go and get a blood test immediately. I went to the bloods clinic but they said appointment only. Thr Gp said they would phone bloodd to explain the urgency of the situation ( bloods said they never got this call) went back upto the surgery who said make an appointment. I decided to go to MDGH who did a blood test immediately as it was POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING. They couldn't understand how the doctors refused. I rang and complained the next day to the practice manager and she just snapped down the phone 'what's the problem ' I COULD OF DIED. thats the problem She wasnt bothered. I felt like my life was so unimportant | ||||||

How stressful should booking an appointment a out your physical health be? It's not the first time either, the reception staff are rude, abrasive and petulant, especially given they're there to help and not judge. One receptionist (laura) hung up on me, as I was trying to arrange the second of the appointments I needed, upon calling back I found out she hadn't booked in the appointment we had agreed on. The second lady, (sophie I think) actually booked the appointments for me but still decided to use all her administrative skills to try and decide what was urgent and what was not and when I explained that it might not seem like an emergency to her, living with constant shoulder pain is not really feasible for me. The third lady, reluctantly gave me an email address for my grievances and promptly hung up. Avoid this surgery if you can | ||||||
