I am seriously considering switching doctors. I have more negative experiences with doctors surgery than positive ones. Trying to get an appointment is a battle within itself and then once you get one, the doctors don't really seem to care. I've been trying for nearly four years to get them to take me seriously about a long-term health condition I've been having and nothing! This condition is affecting my daily life so much, I'm very limited in what I can do and when I can do things due to this. My whole life revolves around my health condition and no one wants to help. They tell me to keep having bloods done with no follow up. At most, they chuck antibiotics at me which is highly irresponsible considering the antibiotics epidemic! Prescribing antibiotics for a long-term non-microbial issue when there's a global issue of microbes becoming resistant to treatment? It's actually absurd. But I digress, this condition has ruined my life and I have lost all faith in these doctors to help me. Completely avoid this surgery! Go somewhere else! |

I've been at the practice for just over 12 months and I find all the doctors and nurses that I've seen to be really helpful. Very clean practice and all very professional. Sometimes it is hard to get an appointment but when requesting my prescriptions the doctors are always accommodating and the receptionists have usually always managed to squeeze me in somewhere even on the day once as I had an emergency. Thank you to you all. |

I have been trying for the last four weeks to get a GP appointment for a lump under my left armpit which I am worried is Cancer. I have tried an outline appointment. It took six days for GP to ring me. I was driving and unable to answer. When I rang Oakwood Medical Centre back the receptionist was so rude and said GP wouldn't ring me back. I need to go online again. I did this and it took 10 days to get a text to say GP would ring me today. I have no idea when!! I need to work as I recieve no Covid support. I have tried to ring GP surgery this morning for 1.5 hrs. Just on hold in a loop no-none answers the phone. Tried 5 times. The standard of care is terrible. I have been waiting for spinal surgery since Sept 2019. I am in extreme pain. I have repeatly asked for the last 1.5 yrs for my GP to examine my spine and refer me for physico or pain management clinic. I have not had any assess to or seen my GP since December 2019. This level of refusing to provide any care can not continue. Patients are really suffering. |
