Trying to book an appointment is extremely difficult. Can wait forever in a telephone queue or nobody answers. Not much easier in person, long queues, only one person at the desk. Waited 20 minutes in the queue to be told no appointments available, would have to try next day!!! We are going to try out a new way of working from Monday 22nd July, this being telephone triage- calls will be taken for a nurse or GP to ring you back to ascertain more details of the symptoms and then come to an agreed plan of action which can include self-care, visiting a community pharmacy, nurse appointment or GP appointment. I have been registered at this Practice now for 5 years and have found all the staff, doctors, nurses and others to be excellent. Sadly, I think people in general today expect to get what they want when they want it and have no patience. I have stood in the queue at Reception several times and had to bite my lip. I don't care how long I have to wait rather than be rushed through. If only people were more grateful. Keep up the good work all of you. From a very grateful patient. I know from our friends and family test results we are well regarded by our community- but this is seldom reflected on this forum- so many thanks for placing your feedback here. My own experiences are made up of the care I see we provide and of course my friends and family are patients across the Northwest of England and so I can have some context. We do our best each and every day. The demand is high and getting higher, and our staff be they clinical and non-clinical do care and want to show that care each and every day, so many thanks again for your feedback. Called in to the practice dispensary for some medication advice. I was totally ignored by 3 members of staff, two were discussing holidays and one was right in front of me sorting papers. I may as well have been invisible. Good manners cost nothing, maybe these ladies need some training in customer service skills. |
