While the surgery is very modern with the ability to access services online, the reality is that they restrict these services and would rather you use the phone. To book an appointment, in theory you can use the app... but you get a choice of 2 times, 15 minutes apart on the same day and they're 3 weeks away and not with your GP. Other surgeries let you book appointments on the day through an app, but NMC REQUIRE you to call. If you're unable to call when they open around 8am, you're fresh out of luck... so if you're working before the usual 9am you're not really welcome at this practice. I did try calling to ask if I could book an appointment the day before, either on the app or over the phone, the receptionist seemed to know nothing about the app and have no interest in it, and didn't offer any help about booking the day before through her......... When I moved to this practice, I requested my old one send my records through to NMC, who said they hadn't received a fax. A fax. Called my old surgery who said they'd sent them electronically, and fax was rarely, if ever, used to do that. Since they had sent the records, they had to delete them from their system. So, because of NMC's staff refusing to live in the present, my decades of medical records were lost....... The sad thing is that both the doctors and nurse I've seen have all been very good, but they're let down by the shocking administration and administration staff stuck in the 90s |
