as a whole i am dissatisfied with most of not all aspects of this service. getting an appointment is extremely difficult. with receptionist 9 times out of 10 telling you to ring tomorrow after 8 to get and emergency appointment. This can go on for days and weeks in some cases, being told to call back at 8am the following morning again and again. when you do manage to get an appointment you are made to feel like your on a clock even if your appointment is way under the ten minute limit. the doctors attitude towards patients is that they are right and my opinion or concerns do not matter. the staff disregard privacy and force patients to openly talk about medical issues in the reception full of other patients even when it was requested to go into a room to discuss the issue further the doctor refused and made us wait in reception while the receptionist relayed my medical issues back and forth from the doctors office to the open reception area. as a healthcare worker myself i know this goes against all privacy policy’s. when ringing for tests results the receptionist says she will contact the hospital and ring me back to tell me what the delay is. one week later no phone call. this is not my first review of this surgery and somehow my other was removed maybe because it was a reflected badly on the service. |

I would just like to write about my treatment at winshill medical centre, I have received nothing but first class service, from booking appointments with a member of staff who is always polite and helpful to my treatment with the nurse and finally the wonderful Dr, they are so thorough will every query, they give you time and patience and I feel like nothing is too much trouble, my grandson aswell has been very fortunate to have received excellent care under the same doctor, how many doctors ring to see how your baby is? Not many! But this doctor was so concerned they did, absolutely faultless.. As a member of this surgery for many years now. At no time have I ever been subjected to anything less than total respect and help by every single member of staff. Either in the reception area, nurses or doctors.
So much so that I am shocked to read of several poor reviews given. Never my experience.
Over the last few years I have been unfortunate enough to have been in several serious accidents requiring hospital treatment and, of course numerous visits to this surgery. My recovery each time depending heavily upon diagnosis, medication and appointments made to see specialists. All requiring dedication by this staff to whom I shall be eternally grateful.
