I was sent for a blood test and the results are in but instead of the GP calling me I have to spend ages getting through to askmygp. Surely it would be for the doctor to call me? Last time I was asked to phone, the doctor I was put in touch with hadn’t read my notes I had to tell him that I was asked to phone in. I have now got to wait over the weekend to get in touch with the surgery. |

Having been with smg for excess of 20 years I would comment as follows... Over the years there may have been a few ups and downs but that is to be expected over long periods and is common with many businesses... Generally and especially of late I have needed quite urgent assistance, despite the ask my gp often being overloaded I have been dealt with professionally and caringly.....often at short notice and in extreme pain I have needed assistance....from the staff on reception to Dr's, including duty on call Dr's I have been contacted and dealt with promptly and efficiently, in my view smg response has prevented my from having to go to hospital and also provided a high level of comfort regarding my illness, often the thoughts in your head make the situation worse and you just need the comfort and advice from a Dr to keep you thinking positively....I would like to thank you all for my experience and assistance received over the last week, it is really appreciated and has made a massive difference to my health....we often see people and the not so good reports but we need to realise and understand that everyone including smg have many times where they may struggle more than ever to deal with the influx of calls and concerns of their patient.....talk to them, give them your support, it isn't easy but on the whole they do their best....well done smg and thanks for your help |

Appointment with nurse Beth today. What a lovely caring nurse she is. Review after blood test ( taken a week before). She explained everything in detail all results etc. Answered all my questions and queries. A credit to the smg group. ?? |
