The Ablecare agency has provided me with live-in care for 2 elderly relatives - one with no mobility after a serious car accident and more recently another with Alzheimer's causing increasing dementia. The agency is extremely professional and efficient but also caring and sympathetic. The office goes to great lengths to find just the right carers for the client they are looking after. Their service is reliable, personal and carefully matched to the requirements of the client. Once suitable cares have been identified the office does its best to ensure that there is continuity so that the same small team of carers is kept in place. The care plan is updated regularly involving personal visits from members of the office team and staff are always available to discuss any changes that become necessary in details of the care required. The professionalism of the carers is carefully monitored and my experience has been that they employ a very high standard of carer.
I have been happy to recommend Ablecare to others. |

The care worker supplied unfortuantely was not ideal. They would not spend most of theirtime reviewing things on their phone and not providing care. We discovered that the ywould not listen to the patients wishes and would leave them to soil themselves or insist they went to bed when they did not want to. They were meant ot be providing a rehabilitation help for a stroke victim but wound up not doing so and it leading to them returning to hospital for a number of reasons. Reply from Able Care Agency Limited Mon, 19 Nov 2018 12:30:12 Z I am a little puzzled as this scenario does not represent any Client having received a service from Able Care currently or in the last 6 months. I would be very grateful if you would contact me to discuss removing this comment. Michelle Betts Manager (01603) 624135 |

My 89 year old stepmother was becoming increasingly frail and unable to care for herself but wished to remain in her own bungalow. However, none of her close relatives lived locally. Able Care provided a number of outstanding carers who operated in weekly or fortnightly rotas. In addition, she had been diagnosed with early onset dementia. The carers looked after her with care and compassion, ensured she was fed and washed and taking her medication. The carers were also excellent companions for her. |
