Presented at QE A&E recently, with chest pain was seen really quickly, and triaged through to be seen by nurses and Drs with caring attitude. Decision was made to admit me to another ward over night for tests to be carried out, was transferred to ward 1 where my continued care was excellent, staff were attentive and caring during a very busy shift. Eventually I was moved to ward 21 where my care continued and again Was given excellent care staff were attentive and caring through yet another busy shift. I appreciate all the hard work the staff do to make patients stay in hospital a good experience |

From receptionist in Admittance to the ambulance staff who took me home after being discharged, I found every member of staff in whatever position helpful, friendly, and caring. Never having been overnight in hospital for well over 60 years, and now aged 84 - I was very nervous at the prospect of my coming knee replacement operation. I was quickly put at ease and by the time I went in to have my anaesthetic, I was already quite calm. Everything went well during the operation and the caring theatre staff were lovely. I was taken to Ward 28 and surprised that there were no doctors, and the ward was run by nurse practitioners. I thought they were brilliant and I received the best of care with every help given and questions patiently answered. Its impossible to mention everyone - from nursing, to staff serving meals, checking if you needed anything, the staff and OT who ensured safety equipment had been delivered to my home; I dont want to miss anyone out. Ward 28 was stress-free and with plenty of laughter. A massive thank you to each and every one of them. |
