I live in Northampton [70 miles away] and I was referred to the HTD in London but the HTD failed to diagnose what species of parasites I have under my skin.
It would have been very easy to make a definitive diagnosis by doing a needle or excision biopsy but the consultant on that day I attended was very angry because he had double the workload because another consultant was absent on that day, so my consultation was a very hurried and moaning one, which lasted about 5 minutes.
I was prescribed a drug called Ivermectin which is used for intestinal parasites, which I do not have and even if I did have intestinal parasites this dosage of 15mg would not have destroyed them because this15mg dose is for a person who weighs between 66kg to 79kg, my weight is 124kg also Ivermectin will not destroy parasites in the muscle or under the skin.
Three weeks prior to my visit to the HTD I had a major operation for lung cancer in Leicester which needed 42 stiches/clips to close the wound also I suffer from Osteoarthritis in both knees and also a condition called Chronic Hyperventilation syndrome which causes me to collapse without warning and this requires 24 hour supervision from a Carer.
The consultant on that day could see the recent operation wound when he looked at my back/shoulder also he could see that I had difficulty in walking and he would have known from my medical records and referral letter that I suffer from collapses without warning, but no effort was made to assist me collecting this placebo from the main building in the UCH.
I was made to walk with my Carer from the HTD to the UCH to collect this placebo from the pharmacy which took me over 30 minutes to walk and during this journey I was vomiting and coughing up blood, so surely the consultant I saw on that day could have arranged for this placebo to be collected for me from the main UCH building.
It has been suggested that my Carer should have collected this placebo on my behalf but it would have taken her 10 minutes to walk from the HTD to the UCH and then wait 20 minutes to hand my placebo in and then wait over 2 hours for this placebo to be made up and finally take the 10 minute walk back from where she had abandoned me.
I have used the word abandoned because she would have not been allowed to leave me unattended for over 3 hours. .
